Fishing Report // May 12th, 2018
Opening morning started out a little slow for some until they located the fish. As the day progressed fishing was steady in 8 to 12 feet of water. Most had a lot of success jigging with frozen shiners red gold and pink were hot colors today. Some of our guests also boated and released lots of bigger slot fish. In all there were good numbers of 16 to 18-inch keepers today. The ice that was there in the morning was retreating back north and should be gone in the next couple of days with much warmer temperatures coming. We also had reports of lots of big northern being caught on the lake today. Deeper water was producing some fish from 16 to 22 feet also. The weather in the upcoming week looks to be sunny and warm making the walleye action really start to heat up. We will keep you posted how things are going. Don’t forget to wish your mother happy mother’s day tomorrow. It’s their special day.
